20 BEE’S

£500.00

Medium: Silkscreen, Ink & Acrylic on Paper

Dimensions (each): A3 — 11.7 x 16.5 in / 29.7 x 42 cm

Hand-signed by the artist

Includes Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist

Description:

20 Bee’s is a large-scale silkscreen installation composed of twenty unique A3 prints, each featuring a hand-pulled bee created from a single stencil. Although printed using the same matrix, no two bees are the same — each varies in colour, texture, and mark-making, highlighting both the unity and individuality found in nature and community.

Originally intended to be displayed together as a 5 x 4 grid, the prints are now being offered individually. Only 17 remain — 3 have already sold. Each one is hand-numbered using Roman numerals and will be selected at random unless otherwise specified.

Created as a tribute to Manchester — the artist’s hometown — the bee is a longstanding symbol of the city’s resilience, industry, and solidarity. In that spirit, proceeds from the sale support Age Concern UK Manchester, a charity working to improve the lives of older people across the city.

With its striking repetition and expressive variation, each print from 20 Bee’s stands alone as a bold, meaningful artwork — a small but powerful symbol of identity, generosity, and community.
